I have heard about Momofuku and wanted to try one of their restaurants since I have been here (I chose Ssam). They are known for their steamed Pork Belly Buns, and they did not disappoint (though a little pricey at $9 for two). I was inspired to make them for appetizers in Sun Valley, so I went home that night, and came up with my own version (more testing needed). I do love the photo I took though; natural light, and the sriracha right behind it to add the heat. This is the kind of food I love to eat, simple, tasty, inspired!

So, what’s new? I have been working at the executive dining kitchen for the last month or two, and getting to know New York. I was on vacation last week, and took full advantage of living here, checking out all of the different neighborhoods, eating some great food, and walking more than I have in years. I leave for Sun Valley this weekend, and will spend most of the summer there. I am excited as I have never been, and I hear it is fantastic there, of course I will take pictures, and share what I am cooking with you. The picture is of a Macaroni & Cheese restaurant that I passed by last week. I guess you can get pretty much what you want here.
